Last friday the last chords of New York fashion week faded away, making cameras’ lens focus on “Albion”, where London Fashion Week was about to start.
However, before I move on to covering the shows in “the city on the river Thamse”, I would like to make a sum up of the American “fellow”-week. New York Fashion Week has made a very pleasant impression on me. Zac Posen, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Thome Brown, Marchesa – these are only several brands of those whose collections I liked most. Perhaps, I will return to them not once in future and dedicate separate articles to their collections.
While in this article I will expose my vision of the major trends offered to us by the most remarkable American designers.
Fashion, indeed, tends to decorativeness and splendor: embroideries, laces, patterned and “rich” fabrics. If you ask me to characterize this fashion week I shall only say three words: flora, fauna and Renaissance. Furs, animal prints, floral motives, abundance of details. Well, let’s take a closer look!
В пятницу отгремели последние аккорды недели моды в Нью-Йорке, и прицел объективов и камер переместился на Туманный Альбион, где стартовала London Fashion Week.
Всё же, перед тем, как освещать показы из «города на Темзе», я бы хотела подвести итоги американской соратницы. New York Fashion Week оставила у меня очень приятное впечатление. Zac Posen, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Thome Brown, Marchesa – вот лишь некоторые бренды из тех, чьи коллекции запомнились мне больше всего. Вполне возможно, что я ещё не раз вернусь к ним и посвящу им отдельные записи.
В этой же я изложу своё видение основных трендов, которые предложили нам самые видные американские дизайнеры.
Мода, в самом деле, склонилась в сторону декоративности и пышности: вышивки, кружева, ткани с узорами, «богатые» материалы.
